About Shannon
Shannon Shapiro started out as an interior and prop stylist for 15 years.   This included catalogs for CB2, Crate & Barrell, Willams Sonoma etc.  She also styled interiors and editorial shots for international magazines like Vanity Fair, Texas Monthly, Vogue, Elle Decor, Wallpaper, In Style, House & Garden, World of Interiors and more.
Her experience in design and architecture began here in Austin with the local architect, Arthur Andersson formerly of Moore Andersson Architects.  After moving on to LA to complete her graduate work in Critical Thinking and Conceptual Art, Shannon started styling for shelter magazines. Walking into celebrity houses with little to no furniture, often chaos; Shannon would transform their houses in 3 days if the deadline required it.
Shannon has an MFA in Fine Art & Design from Cal-Arts; three years towards a BFA from the University of Texas and a BS in Journalism.   While in graduate school she received a 1-year scholarship at the Glasgow School of Art.  All of this seeded her career as a lighting and  Interior designer for celebrities, industry executives and regular discerning folks for 17 years.
In 2000, Shannon opened her luminaire and decor business; designing and fabricating lighting for notable architects, interior designers, hotels and restaurants around the world.
